With the millions of pages on the web, the way you find information is always changing. There are over 800 different search engines, some that are very general, some that are very specific. The key is to know when to use what type of search engine, and to learn search strategies that will give you an ample number of selections that are relevent and helpful.
In this section we will examine some of the various Search Engines and how they work. Engines that are general and specific. We will compare the results of different searches and find out the relevancy of the hits. The search engines that give the most results are not necessarily the best.
We will examine reviews of the engines and the different ways in which we can search using more keywords, boolean techniques and phrases where appropriate.
